Donna has been practicing yoga and meditation for 20 years and has been teaching for over 10. Her interest lies in yoga’s capacity to enhance emotional wellbeing and resiliency. She has a passion for connecting women to yoga and meditation as a way to explore a deeper understanding of themselves and to tap into inner wisdom inherent in each of us. She is influenced by several yoga traditions and continues to be a student first and foremost, seeing the wisdom of yoga as a physical, emotional and spiritual healing practice. She has over 500 hours of training in yoga therapy through Asheville Yoga Center and YogaWell Institute and an additional 500 Hours in meditation, vinyasa and yin yoga, yoga for cancer and trauma sensitive yoga.
Donna brings a holistic approach to her classes, empowering students to live in their bodies in a wholesome way. Her classes are an invitation to connect more deeply to the present moment through fluid movement and mindful breath. She offers practices that are balancing, strengthening and emotionally enriching and that challenge students to practice from a place of intuitive exploration and personal freedom. She meets students where they are in their yoga practice, offering classes that are inclusive, fun and lighthearted.
Donna is certified as a Holistic Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and leads Ayurvedic inspired seasonal cleanses and online wellness programs.
